Rudson Di Cavalcanti

Di Cavalcanti instruments follow a refined finishing standard, and from the beginning of the process, that is, the choice of material, takes into account the most careful criteria to achieve the most refined result. The search for excellence has been a constant in the physical and intellectual trajectory of the studio.

For violins, Rudson Di Cavalcanti uses classic Cremonese models, such as Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati, in addition to having meticulously developed his own model that is based on the classic luthiery of the 18th century.

For violas, he basically works with two main models, the first is the model by the brothers Antonio and Gerolamo Amati from 1615, known as “la Stauffer”, and the second is the model by Gasparo Bertolotti detto Da Salò, from 1540 “Oxford”. For cellos, he uses the classic Stradivarius model from 1700 “ex-Cristiani”, and the Domenico Montagnana model from 1739 “Sleeping Beauty”.

The materials used are always those of the highest aesthetic and acoustic quality, woods always purchased in Europe, and chosen one by one, with rigor and always thinking about the acoustic element.
The varnish on Di Cavalcanti instruments is always oil-based, and of very high resistance and finish.
