Setup

What is a setup?
The setup is nothing more than the “fine” adjustment of your instrument, and it is the one that will be responsible for the overall performance of each instrument according to what each instrument can offer. It basically consists of adjustments to parts such as the bridge, neck and tailpiece, and may have a more complex variation involving the tailpiece, button, pegs and chinstrap (rare cases).
A good setup upgrade can bring a performance gain of up to 40% in the quality, volume and timbre of your instrument (this varies greatly in specific cases).
In my studio, we always use high-performance bridges (usually Despiau 3 trees), selected and stabilized.
The necks are always made of selected and stabilized woods (spruce), and are chosen according to each instrument.
It is always a great pleasure to see an instrument return to its full performance, and for this reason I became a liutaio specialist in acoustics.
