Our History

Born in the city of São Paulo, Rudson Di Cavalcanti began studying music at an early age, and his violin studies were guided by Cecilia Guida, Jorge Salim and Natan Schwartzman. At the age of 14, he fell in love with the world of violinmaking and studied with his first teacher, Ciro Herrera, from 1997 until his retirement. When Ciro retired, he gave him the tools from his studio as a gift.
He also studied with Vinicius Facchinetti, with whom he has maintained a great friendship and a great bond of collaboration. His main teacher is the Italian Giovanni Lazzaro, with whom he has studied construction and restoration since 2019, and with whom he collaborates annually in his studios in Cremona and Salzburg. He has developed a strong commitment to the area of acoustics, and this has been a topic of great debate between the two.
He also studied bow construction and restoration with Jose Carlos Rossoni and Renato Casara. In 2000 he founded his studio and since then he has had the collaboration of great colleagues and musicians, and this exchange has been extremely important in his career.
